More Jury Questions for Jodi Arias

Questions and relevant comments transcribed from the video and numbered in the order as they are read by Judge Sherry Stephens, continuing from question #157 on the previous day of jury questions for Jodi Arias:

I'm going to continue to ask you the questions submitted by the jury.

158. Several times while testifying about the abuse by Travis you have made comments like "as I understand it now" and "I've come to realize". How has this realization come about? (0:00:14)

159. Were individuals involved in helping you come to these realizations? (0:01:00)

160. Tell us who they are and what their professions may be. (0:01:16)

161. You were recalling times of memory loss with Travis. How is it possible you remember such details from those days if you had a foggy memory? (0:01:44)

(witness asks for question to be repeated)

162. Is there anyone else who knows about your memory issues? (0:02:55)

(prosecutor objects to her answer, judge asks her to "answer the question as stated")

163. Did Travis' roommates ever heard these altercations, to your knowledge? (0:03:18)

(judge restates this question: To your knowledge did anyone else hear your altercations? (0:03:30))

164. You have testified about several incidents when Travis was physical to you. Were you ever physical to Travis besides when you killed him? (0:04:33)

165. Would you consider the event when Travis choked you a stressful event? (0:05:02)

166. If yes, why do you recall the event so clearly? (0:05:18)

167. In the moments of stress or fog how do you recall what happened in those moments if it effects your memory? (0:06:14)

*168. Why were you afraid of the consequences if you killed Travis in self defense? (0:06:56)

169. What happened to the gas cans after the road trip in June of 2008? (0:07:33)

170. Regarding shaking memory, foggy reaction. #1. Do you always have a reaction as you describe when someone corrects or challenges you? (0:07:54)

171. #2 Is this the same reaction you have when someone yells or raises their voice at you? (0:08:26)

172. #3 Have you ever had any situations where you have raised your voice? (0:08:55)

*173. You mentioned the pain of sex is one of the reasons you brought KY into the relationship.  What are the other reasons? (0:09:09)

174. During these altercations why didn't you just scream in hopes that someone might hear you and help you? (0:09:40)

175. What was the date and time stamped on exhibit 164? (0:10:12)

176. If you were scared of what Travis was capable of doing why would you ever let him tie you up? (0:10:33)

177. Was Travis tied up at any point on June 4, 2008? (0:11:18)

*178. Do you recall the injuries on Travis' body at any point during June 4 without the aid of photographs? (0:11:25)

(her answer is interesting: "No, I didn't even realize that I shot him.")

179. You mentioned that one of the reasons you chose not to write negative things in your journal was because you were concerned that Travis would read it. Is that correct?  (0:11:39)

180. If that is the case why were you OK with leaving an entry in your journal that talked about how Travis would get angry if he knew you had gone to Rachel's house? (0:12:35)

181. Why was it OK to write about how Travis made you both sick and happy or sad and miserable or that something wasn't right about him? (0:13:07)

182. After you snatched the gun off the shelf did you do anything to the gun such as cock it, slip off the safety, manipulate a slide or anything prior to it going off? (0:13:52)

183. Had you ever had any firearms training or fired a .25 caliber pistol prior to this event? (0:14:15)

184. How far away from you was Travis when the gun went off? (0:14:36)

(judge clarifies before she begins to answer: "Not when he lunged, but when the gun went off")

185. You stated that you remember throwing the gun into the desert but do you remember what happened to the box it was in? (0:15:15)

186. What about the holster you mentioned? (0:15:25)

187. Did he keep extra ammunition with the gun? (0:15:33)

188. If Travis lunged at you why didn't you just move to the side out of his way? (0:15:42)

189. You remember dropping the knife and screaming but you don't remember taking the gun or rope with you. Is that correct? (0:16:22)

(prosecutor objects to her answer as "beyond the scope", judege overrules)

190. You are stating you believe you stabbed Travis based on logic. How do you explain the blood on your hands and clothes and the bloody palm print on the wall? (0:17:07)

191. If you were kneeling when you dropped the camera how did it roll as far as it did? (0:17:45)

192. Was Travis sitting down when you dropped the camera? (0:18:00)

193. How did Travis' anger escalate after you shot him? (0:18:08)

194. Was he chasing you after you shot him in the head? (0:18:43)

195. When you purchased gas at the Arco in Pasadena why didn't you just fill everything up at the pump so that it was all under one transaction? Why do three seperate transactions? (0:19:23)

196. During your testimony about the abuse by Travis you have made several comments like "as I understand it now" or "I have come to realize" when discussing events that you may not have classified as abuse then but see it as such now.  Have you utilized professional help? (0:20:15)

197. Did you enjoy having sex with Travis? (0:20:41)

198. Did he force you to do things you didn't want to do? (0:20:50)

*199. Why did you wait for so long to tell the truth? (0:21:06)

200. How many times did you try to kill yourself? (0:21:57)

*201. Would you decide to tell the truth if you never got arrested? (0:22:23)

202. You said that one of your worst fears was for everyone to find out what was going on in your relationship, so why did you talk to 48 Hours and other TV stations?(0:22:38)

203. You stated in the interview with detective Flores that Travis liked to shave the old fashioned way.  This would normally include the use of a traditional straight razor. Did Travis own or use a straight razor? (0:23:27)

204. In testimony on March 5, 2013 you mentioned filling a third gas can. When and where did you get this can? (0:24:05)

(witness asks for question to be repeated, judge repeats the question)

205. Why didn't you just run out of the house instead of grabbing the gun from the closet? (0:24:45)

206. You said when the gun went off you weren't sure if you shot Travis so when you came out of the fog on your way to Utah why didn't you call 911 to help Travis? (0:25:30)

(judge asks counsel to approach as there are additional questions from the jury, after a long sidebar judge sends jury out of the courtroom for "5 mintues" at about 0:39:00 in video, witness told she can step down and defense attorneys have private discussion with witness, witness returns to stand and jury returns at about 0:47:00, judge starts right off with the next question)

207. Why would you hypothesize about filling a third gas can? (0:47:40)

208. You stated today that you did not have professional help when dealing with your issues yet yesterday you mentioned talking to a psychiatrist to deal with Travis' possible child porn issues. Can you explain? (0:47:55)

(witness asks question to be repeated, judge repeats the question)

209. You said you waited 2 years to tell the truth because you were ashamed. Does that mean you are no longer ashamed? (0:48:41)

210. Did you look into the possibility of renting a GPS system along with the rental car? (0:49:08)

211. In the story of a man and woman attacking Travis you mentioned talking to him. Also mentioned was Travis being on all fours.  Do you in fact recall him doing any of those things? (0:49:28)

212. You claim that everything happened so fast and you didn't have time to think, so how could you think about grabbing the gun from the closet? (0:50:04)

*213. How can you say that you don't have memory issues when you can't remember how you stabbed him so many times and slashed his throat? (0:50:34)

*214. Did Mr. Martinez cause you to shake during his questioning? (0:51:25)

(her one word answer: "Yes")

215. If so, can you please provide an estimate of how many times this happened during the current trial? (0:51:30)

*216. After all the lies you have told why should we believe you now? (0:52:00) asked by Tara Kelley, Juror #17 (@tarakelley320 on May 25, 2013, approx 6pm: "@jossmommy I can't remember all!!I asked Jodi like 75 myself lol! Any of the questions that had to do with no jury will convict me were mine. >> @jossmommy: @tarakelley320 what other question did you ask? Alice? And Jodiarias?)

217. What happened to the suicide letters you wrote to your grandmother? (0:52:51)

*218. How could you kiss another man when you knew what you just did to Travis? (0:53:04)

219. Were you in the fog when you were kissing Ryan? (0:54:30)

(another rare one word answer: "yes")

*220. Would you agree that you came away from the June 4 incident rather unscathed while Travis suffered a gunshot and multiple stab wounds?  You only had a bump on your head, a bruise on your head, cuts or scrapes on your ankles and a possible shoulder injury. (0:54:37)
